Revisiting a Connection Over Coffee

Revisiting a Connection Over Coffee

While Dr. Hallowell’s demanding schedule has him travelling around the country and the world, we’re taking a second listen to some of Distraction’s most popular episodes from Season 1.

In this episode Ned goes back to East Rock Coffee, the no-electronics café, where he connects with David Reed, who received his PhD at the University of Toronto in New Testament Studies, and is a post-doc at Yale in Religious Studies. A serious, yet sometimes lighthearted conversation ensues about the history of sex in early Christianity.

David’s first book is currently “in press.”  Here’s an article he wrote in 2015: http://www.dsausa.org/eye_of_the_beholder_religion_liberty_and_violence
