MDMA (the main component of the party drug ecstasy) is now being used in clinical trials for the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). In this episode, Dr. Hallowell has an in-depth conversation with CJ Hardin, a veteran who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, about how MDMA-assisted psychotherapy helped his PTSD.  Rick Doblin, the founder of the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), also joins Dr. Hallowell to talk about the history of MDMA, the clinical trials and the newest research that is being funded by his organization.
